On Friday, we took a trip to REI in Portland to drop off the skis and snoboard for waxing... and I can't keep it inside anymore... Alex is now officially a member of REI!!!! Hooray! The guy who took my skis said that another bonus of him joining is that we'll get another 20% off coupon in the mail each year. Thanks Alex! We promise to let you use it for what you want as soon as you're old enough to want it. For now, we'll use the coupon it to buy you goodies!
Uncle Jon broke in his garlic baker & created some appetizers for me to take to a party tonight (didn't go to the party due to icy roads. James called to make sure I didn't do anything "crazy" a.k.a. leave the house and hit the ice. He's so sweet!) Jon was all set to watch Alex and hang with Titus tonight, yet the plan changed. Like Gramma says, "expect the unexpected!" So now we're all hanging out in our pjs.

After Alex 'sang' for us... he ate and when placed in the crib, lifted his legs and immediately rolled onto his right side. Then Zzzzzz. It's time for him to sleep longer at night (sorry Alex). When your Dad's back in town, it may be time to let you whine a bit in the middle of the night??? We love you!
Alexander had some major tummy time today and we practiced rolling over. He's such a giggle butt! I love to kiss his neck and make funny noises... that really gets him going! And, Jon fed Alex a ton of cream of wheat on Friday and he gobbled it up! Time to try some new tasty foods and to go to the store to stock up!
Our little monkey is so tall that his pants are looking like capris and his pjs are only loose in the width section. I wonder... do they make 'tall' sizes for babies? Alex is in 9 month sizes already and will turn 5 months old on Christmas Eve. It's amazing to think that someday he will pass me in height. We've marked his height/weight on the laundry room wall...and plan to do so with each doctor visit and more when he's 'standing' on his own.
In just about a month, we'll all be flying to Buffalo to meet Aunt Maria, Uncle Mike, and Cousin Sophia... and to see Grandma Elle and Gramps. We're all looking forward to seeing the cousins and the rest of the family out there. Thank goodness my down jacket fits again cause it's gonna be cold out there! Brrrrr!
