Tonight will be the 3rd night Sierra has slept in her crib...
In her own room!
Sierra, your laryngomalacia condition seems
to be minimal, so we are comfortable with you being in your own room right now. Your hands get a little cold, so you are wearing cozy socks to keep them warm. You are a bright, sweet, and beautiful girl. We love you!
Alex goes shopping...
Beautiful sunrise
(almost time to trim some trees for the view!)
Alex with his "purple window cleaner"
Sierra takes a little snooze... before...
...we continue getting ready for Christmas.
(By the way, we have officially adopted Alex's tree as our better Christmas tree- due to the fact that our big tree seems to be quite dry and droopy. Possibly because it's trunk was so large that parts of the base had to be chopped off. I guess we learned not to do that again.)
Alexander's tree, however, looks fabulous!
Shopping for presents down in town at the dollar store. Alex got to pick whatever he wanted for Uncle Jon, Gramma, and Daddy. He's had a plan to buy a "ladder" for Uncle Jon and a "carpet cleaner" for Gramma. Since we know they already have those things, he had to come up with new ideas.
P.S. Sorry Daddy, all your son wanted to do was put things in the cart for "Uncle Jon" or "Gramma". So Alex and Sierra will share presents given to you with Mommy.
I tried to push him around in a cart in the store,
but he got mad at me and insisted,
"Alex want to walk!"
He did manage to score a couple toys for himself too.
After we got back home, Alexander added some tinsil.
Fancy stuff buddy! We're proud for you... nice job!

C is for color and Coen!
The other evening we picked up some window crayons and oh boy, you sure are having fun with them. Daddy brought out Mommy's mirror and you are loving drawing on it! When you're a bit taller, you'll be able to color on the windows.
You also managed to color on your body...
as well as the walls, a chair, and a toy.
Not a good idea buddy!

You are learning colors... and are counting too!
Another fun thing to do is to redecorate your little tree!
Today was extra special... Jenni and Coen visited us! They are on a five week trip from Hawaii, and we were lucky to have them visit and play! Someday we hope to visit them!
Jenni and Coen brought you a cool dinosaur ball popper... and Sierra got a darling squeaky toy and two puppet books. Thanks friends!
Alexander... you will be 2 and 1/2 next month!
Look who learned how to do a somersault! Alexander!
Naptime for Sierra... and Mommy!
This evening, Sierra and I discovered these at Costco... septic safe and handy for whenever little buddy is ready for potty training...
Good thing Alexander stayed home with Daddy...
the cart didn't have ANY extra room!
Tuesday, December 13
For the last few weeks we've seen Jen (and usually Owen too!) every week. Hooray! They are such great friends! Today, Jen came by herself, and Alex, you always are so excited for her visit. You say, "Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa-ennnnnnnnnnnnnnn" and laugh. After Jen's visit and naptime were over, we headed to town to finish up our Christmas shopping for Daddy. Earlier, you walked around the house with your shopping cart saying, "Alex go shopping and buy Christmas ornaments."
At the actual store, you drove the shopping cart with your sister in front and Mommy in tow... saying, "Mommy go this way," as you pointed.
Sierra, you were wide awake as we shopped, then took a little snoozer on the way home and exercised on your tummy before having dinner.
Your artwork on Mommy's mirror, created with your new Crayola crayons for Windows! Very cool!
