Warren Miller Night ... Happy New Year!

Alexander, your Daddy is so creative!  On New Year's Eve, he planned a special private viewing of Warren Miller's 'Children of Winter' DVD.  For many years, we had the tradition of watching the ski/snowboard movie on the big screen... and in the last couple of years, we haven't gone.  So your Daddy brought the movie home!  It all began with him coming upstairs with a flashlight and movie ticket he'd created.  He escorted me downstairs and used the flashlight to show me to my seat (the middle of the sofa also known as row 1/seat 1A).  Then I was handed a Warren Miller magazine (the Columbia Gorge's magazine with a fake cover) and was instructed to fill out the door prize entry sheet inside.  There was also a list of sponsors for prizes inside.  Daddy then had me put my entry into the prize drawing box he'd created, and then the movie began.  (At the film each year, there's a grand prize drawing and other prizes are given away as well.  I always hope to win, but haven't yet....until last night!)  Halfway through the movie, there was an intermission for water and then magically MY movie ticket stub was a winner... 4 times in a row!!!  First, I won a gift certificate for happy hour/lunch to Tommy O's.  Second, I won a Deuter backpack (received on Christmas Day).  Third, I won a car with my own chauffer!  My Toyota Land Cruiser!  And finally... the grand prize ticket was drawn... ME again!  I won a trip to Mt Hood Meadows for a day of skiing and daycare for you!  The movie rocked, and your Daddy continues to blow me away with his creativity, generosity, and love!  When all was done, we walked upstairs and it was exactly midnight... a perfect evening!  Thanks Steve... you ARE the best!
