Trying on Fox's glasses
(Remember, Fox is Alex's friend who holds the binkys.) Oh and by the way, I almost had a major catastrophe yesterday. MAJOR! I was cleaning out the car to loan to Micki and Boyd and found a blue binky. One of Alex's binkys. I quickly stuffed it into my bra. My normal holding place for binkys. Well, I thought I'd toss it when he wasn't looking... but it fell out without me knowing. A while later, Alex discovered it and popped it in his mouth. I told him it was Sierra's. That didn't work. Then I grabbed it and said it was broken, as I walked over to the knife block and cut a big slit into in secret as he wasn't looking. Horrible I know, but so necessary. All went well and the subject was changed to Mike Holmes or something else. Occasionally, Alex will say, "I miss my binkys". And we say, "I know." Then we all move on. Such a sweet boy you are Alexander. Love you!
Today we escaped some of the heat with another trip to IKEA and Target. We have quite a collection of books (mostly board books) and I went to buy some spice racks to hang on the wall and make into book shelves that face out. Love it!
