When we purchased the property it was important to me to not use pesticides, chemicals, etc. We've let things grow naturally, with an occasional mowing here and there. Also, the fruit trees were pruned back a couple years ago and now, we have apples, plums, pears, and wild blackberries galore. Here's a picture of the harvest this evening. I wore sandals and shorts, and paid the price on my feet. Ouch! Worth it for sure. Knowing that we have blackberries that are free of nasty chemicals is awesome!
Yummy! We will have berries for at least a few weeks. Soooo many!
