Binky update

All is well on the binky home front.  "You can just cut open his toe Mommy," (speaking of his Fox) says our boy to me when asking for his binkies this morning.  There were some tears and snuggling and then the conversation shifted to which 'Mighty Machines' episode to watch (a cool series for young kids if you haven't seen it before.)

The bummer of the evening is that Alex has a fever.  Last night when I went to check on him he felt hot but I didn't check his temp.  Should have followed my gut.  Tonight he seemed a bit quiet and mellow, so we took his temperature and discovered it was over 102.  Tylenol was given, and a few hours later it had climbed once more to 103-104 ish.  Thank goodness for a 24 hour nurse advice line we call.  Poor little buddy is now downstairs in bed with Steve- stripped to his diaper with a cool washcloth on his forehead.  We did manage to get him to eat a cracker and are pushing the water consumption.  Alex is such a sweetie, and Steve is an amazing father and husband.  He insists on being in bed with Alex and is taking care of him so I can get some rest.  I have to accept help and say thanks.  Steve is fantastic in so many ways.  Little Sierra has no fever but decided to party until past 11 pm.  Why?  No clue.  I did give her another snack after she drained my boobs for the third time.  She loves cheese and blueberries.  I finally tucked her in again, for the fifth time, and let her soft cry a teeny bit.  Now I think she is asleep.  Shhhh... Hopefully our little Alexander will be feeling better in a few hours and hopefully his fever will be lower when I go to check on him at 2 a.m.  Fingers crossed that Sierra won't get one too.
Nighty night!
