Your early birthday present... a club house!
We hooked up with Daddy in Oregon this afternoon to pick up your early Birthday present... a club house. Originally we were going to buy you a big wooden play structure, but decided to go smaller scale until you're just a bit older. Your sister sure will have fun with you on this too! There are two mini-slides and two covered areas for hiding... plus, it's safe for you to play on outside, without Mommy or Daddy needing to be right at your side. Mommy has plans to kick up her pregnant feet and sit on the porch this summer while you run around and play. And, I promise... we'll get you a bigger slide next summer for sure!
As soon as the stairs were attached, you climbed up and slid down OVER and OVER and OVER again. You also helped Daddy connecting the pieces together. Mommy laid out all the parts with the directions and helped where she could. You tried to help by almost drilling into my leg once. Then we moved the drill over a bit more so it was out of your reach!
You decided to "wash" the pieces before we put them together.
It's now 8 o'clock (we started a bit after 5 tonight), Daddy is finishing up the bridge's railings (only 14 more bolts/screws to go!) We came in for dinner and pajamas. What a busy and fun day! Tomorrow we will play!!!
