The shortest drive...

Yesterday evening you, Titus, and Mommy, took the shortest drive to go check out the orchard.  The reason we drove is because you didn't want to walk in the tall grass and you wanted Mommy to carry you down and back up the hill.  It's hard for me to do that at this stage of pregnancy so we drove!  Last spring we had the trees pruned by a professional arborist... and we were hoping that this year we'd have some fruit.  Last summer the deer munched on most of the branches, due to the fact that the electric fence didn't work (and still isn't).  We like to think that we were helping to feed the wildlife... naturally of course!  When we walked into the orchard to check out the trees we found ONE apple that was half eaten by something.  Hopefully next year we'll get more fruit.  The plan is to take down the old fence next spring, and to reduce the area of the orchard.  Currently, it has enough room for a large garden area.  Mommy would rather have a garden up by the house where it will be easier to maintain and tend to.  That will be fun to do with you and your sister next year!
