New things

Last weekend we journeyed to Babies R Us and bought a baby corral... oh boy!  No more crawling up to the wood stove for you.  It's fantastic and also protects you from the plants!  We also moved your toys to a new area... behind the couch you have a big play area and we can walk across the room without having to cross your 'toy obstacle course'.  You do make a good course Alex!
Another new thing happened today..
for the first time, you napped for 2-3 hours!  In your crib!
We woke you up a little after 2, right before Daddy went for a ride.
You made some funny faces!  And you are in love with cheese, and are starting to drink cow's milk versus my breast milk.  I can't believe that you were born almost a year ago.  Gramma says you are looking like a little boy now.  6 teeth is what you have!
Did you want to go riding with Daddy?
Is that why you made the nice face for us?
We are excited for Daddy to have a fun, and safe, adventure!
He let you sit on the bike with him
while Mommy opened the gate this afternoon.

After he left, you, Titus, and I went outside
to play under the three super tall evergreen trees.
You picked up some dirt and showed it to Titus.
Sorry buddy, he knows all about dirt.
He's a digging machine!

You crawled all around and kept pestering Titus...
and he would move to get away from you.
I don't think he enjoys it when you literally climb on top of him and pull his ears.  You seem to think it's hilarious!
You have been walking on all fours,
and standing and hovering inside quite a bit...
and today you independently stood up on the grass.
You also picked a buttercup and didn't put anything in your mouth.  Just a stick down Mommy's shirt.

After a while, we played on the back deck and you seem to love the hose.  You even drug it over to the plants and pretended to water the strawberries.  You are so smart!

 Another fun day for sure.

And tonight, you had a snack before bed and drank cow's milk and fell asleep in my arms after we read our bedtime books.  I love you my sweet Alexander, and treasure my time with you!
