Mommy woke up super early today and thought that we'd take a trip to the children's museum for some fun. Alexander, you always love going there. Well, today was a different story. The first sign that things were going to be different was in the parking lot- two very long school buses. Second sign, or was it the first?... it was a rainy morning. Still, as we hustled our buns to get inside the warmth of the museum Mommy wondered what the scene would be inside. Well, let's say it was very LOUD and pretty CROWDED. We renewed our membership (thanks Gramps and Grandma Elle!) and headed off to play. Alexander, you were so different than your usual self. Instead of running off to play and explore... you just walked around/stood in place. Even in the water area, you held back a bit. You were very reluctant to splash and play. You did pick some flowers by the construction site. That seemed like fun for you. Later on, I asked you if you were feeling scared and you immediately broke into a sad face and cried. So, we decided to explore the museum store area and you said you were ready to go home and get McDonalds. Not a fan of taking you to the golden arches anymore, but today you got it. No more worries little buddy!
Oh, and to top it all off... as I was feeding Sierra in the car, you turned to me and said "Alex has pretzel stuck in nose". WHAT????!!!!??? You started to try to get it out by putting your finger up your nose, which started to push it up there even more. Luckily, I was able to peel back your nostril and carefully pull it out. Very scary! We talked about the importance of not putting things up there. Yikes!
Now, after we've all had a long nap, life is better. A little Bob the Builder goes a long way!
