Happy 21 days old Sierra... and happy 21 days of being a big brother Alexander!  We have had the last three weeks together as a family, and today is Daddy's first day back to work (downstairs on Fridays... hooray!)  Here's the quick scoop on what we've been up to... we have been to the doctor's office 8 out of the last 16 days.  We love living out by the river AND it makes quite a little journey to the hospital/doctors' offices.  Great thing is that there is fantastic medical care around.  More about that in a minute...

Alex, you are quite the little caretaker yourself.  Yesterday you brought me some snacks while I was feeding Sierra... Prune juice, mayonaise, and ranch salad dressing.  Yummy!
Alex, you sure love to snack on your "go go s" and "pretzels"
Our first morning upstairs by ourselves...
We know it's hard for Ti Ti cause Mommy can't go out and play like she likes too...
Since Mommy can't lift anything heavier than Sierra, you have been eating inside at your picnic table.

Vroom!  Vroom!  You love love love riding your bike from Drew, Scott, and Erin.

We found out that you, Sierra, have a congenital condition called laryngomalacia (soft tissue of the larynx), and hopefully you will outgrow it by the age of 1 or 2 years old.  Basically, you have a stridor/noisy breathing caused by a flopping epiglottis.  When you breathe in, it collapses on itself and you make some crazy sounds.  It's a bit scary for us to hear... and the doctors have told us that as long as you are not turning blue or flaring nostrils, you are alright.  You are not having an gerd/eating issues... so that's a good sign.  And, Mommy is still recovering from her c-section... and I'm on my second round of antibiotics.

We are very lucky to have such an amazing Daddy... he has/is taking such good care of all of us!  And Alex, you are helping so much with your sister.  Just this morning you brought Sierra some trains to sleep with during her naptime.  That was so sweet of you!

Today's surprise... an easel Mommy ordered for you two with our credit card points.  What fun to use crayons, magnets, and chalk!
