Toys, tots, and tears...

This morning we met Jenni and Coen for a short play date in Vancouver.  They are moving to Hawaii in a couple months... what a fun adventure for their family.  We will miss them and wish them blessings and love.

To our surprise, the cafe had a puppet show for extra entertainment this morning!!!  Very cool.  We listened to music and watched the puppets sing and dance, while you played on the indoor big toy.  You loved the slide!!!  We even did a little dance to "Old MacDonald!"  The cafe has a kid safe play area that's gated off, and a table-chair area for adults to watch, or play with the kids if they want.  I love being with you monkey!  You are becoming more and more independent and like to wander off to explore.  After an hour, you let me know you were ready to go.  A little boy pushed you by the train table and you cried.  Was this the first time you were bullied?  So sad!  Some hugs and kisses from Mommy, along with a distraction from Jenni, helped you smile again.  You shared your chocolate chip cookie with Coen, and decided that pretzels tasted better. Eventually, you were ready to go... and repeatedly walked towards the door.  We know you love being outside... it seems wherever we go, you look out the window and want to go out.  Just like Mommy and Daddy!
